Yifan is a third-year Ph.D. candidate specializing in bipolar membranes (BPMs) and related systems. His research focuses on investigating catalyzed ionic water dissociation mechanisms. Building on this foundation, he is dedicated to the design and engineering of innovative BPM junctions and devices. Yifan's current research interests involve utilizing membrane-inorganic hybrid materials to tackle crucial energy and sustainability challenges. His work specifically targets applications such as critical metal separation, CO2-to-fuel conversion, and electrodialysis-based chemical production, with a strong overarching vision for translating these technologies into entrepreneurial ventures.
